Apple’s WWDC 2017 was filled with major announcements, which include iOS 11, HomePod (aka Siri Speaker), watchOS 4 and many more.
HomePod (Siri Speaker)
Apple’s long rumored Siri Speaker is finally here and it is called HomePod. Siris is built-in, so you can communicate with the speaker. You can talk to the HomePod (Siri Speaker), ask question and use it as a voice assistant like Google Home and Amazon Echo.
HomePod is good for music because it has seven tweeters with beam formers and a four-inch subwoofer. It is loud and you can easily link two the HomePods together.
The speaker is also aware of the space around it and can easily adapt to the space. HomePOd is powered by an A8 chip – apparently the biggest brain ever in a speaker.
HomePod will be shipping in December, so you have to wait for it. In fact, not all the parts of the world will get it in December; the US, UK, and Australia will be getting it in December while others will get it next year.
We knew iOS11 was coming, but it is packed full of changes and new features.
Siri has been improved and now sports a less robotic voice. When you ask questions, the visual details you get are now more detailed and Siri can now speak in another language for you in case there is language barrier with the person you are speaking to.
