macOS 10.13 High Sierra has finally been announced by Apple. Apple announced its latest version of operating system for MacBooks and Macs at WWDC 2017.

macOS 10.13 High Sierra release date
macOS 10.13 High Sierra was announced at the WWWDC 2017 keynote event. When will we be able to download the macOS 10.13 High Sierra? If you are keen to try the new operating system out, you can download the macOS 10.13 High Sierra developer preview now at Apple Developer Program enrolment page. But remember that early software like this may be buggy and incomplete.
The page will first show you what you need to sign up for the program and then allow you to download the macOS 10.13 High Sierra Developer Preview.
Because this is early software, we would not recommend running it on a MacBook or Mac you rely on every day.
There will be more stable version of macOS 10.13 High Sierra in June, but we would recommend waiting for the final version which according to Apple will be released in Autumn 2017.
macOS 10.13 High Sierra features
With macOS 10.3 High Sierra, Apple has promised a number of mouthwatering new features. The features include improving Spotlight Search in the Mail App and improvement to Safari. When you are writing emails now, the app allows split view for the compose window and will use up to 35% disc space.
The photos app as been updated in macOS 10.13 High Sierra. It now has a better sorting tool with a new layout, better syncing and facial recognition across all Apple devices.
There is improvement in editing tools also, making it easier to improve your photos.
The file system received the biggest changes with the macOS High Sierra. It is ditching the HFS for Apple File System (APFS).
This is the 64-bit file system that supports faster Meta data operation and native encryption. This may look techy but the summary is that it will make Mac work faster and more secure.

macOS 10.13 High Sierra will be available on MacBook Pro, Mac Pro, Mac mini and MacBook Air of 2010 and later.
