How to replace your Microsoft account with a local account?
To replace your MS account, you need to log in as an administrator. If you already have an account on your computer then it’s the one. Open your PC’s Start Menu and select Setting>>Account>>Your email and accounts. You should see your current MS account details and you will see two lines with blue test below it, which reads, “Manage my Microsoft account and Sign in with a local account instead.” Click on “Sign in with a local account” to create your new local account.
You will be asked to confirm your password on the first screen. Once you have confirmed it you will be asked to input your details for the local account you want to create. Complete that and click Next.
At this stage, click through the confirmations and your account will be de-linked from all auto sync features. This does not mean that Outlook and OneDrive will stop working, your login details have already been retained for the apps that need them.
