Gigabyte has just unveiled a new and powerful laptop that derives its pixel-pushing prowess from the GeForce GTX 1072 GPUs.
This new Aorus X9 boasts of an Intel Core i7-7820HK quad-core processor which can be overclocked, and as mentioned, a pair of GTX 1072 graphics cards hooked up in SLI (sporting 8GB of video memory).
The whole core spec is backed by 64GB of system RAM and you can specify a pair of M.2 PCIe SSDs (512GB maximum capacity each) for storage alongside the traditional hard disk of up to 2TB.
For its 17.3-inch display, you can run with the 4K IPS panel which offers 100 percent Adobe RGB coverage, or the 2,560 x 1,440-resolution screen with refresh rate of 120Hz and 5ms response time.
This X9 also enjoys a mechanical keyboard which is backlit with up to 16.7 million colors to select from (and per-key lighting).
It’s also worth mentioning that Gigabyte has done a great job on the cooling system to keep these peppy components from the danger of overheating. It means the laptop comes with cooling vent, heatpipes and four fans.
Its availability is to be confirmed and the pricing will begin from $3,199 (for the non-4k version), around AU$4,070 or £2,430. That is not cheap, but we all know powerful gaming laptops are not cheap.
Perhaps the best you can hope for is a great deal on a gaming laptop come black Friday. There is surely going to be bargains during Black Friday in the UK, Black Friday in Australia and Black Friday in the US as well.
We will be reviewing Aorus X9 soon and we can’t wait to get stuck into some benchmarking with this fantastic laptop.
