UPDATE: bixby Voice is finally here and you can follow this guide to enjoy it.
Bixby is the much awaited Samsung Galaxy S8 and Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus feature that the US people have not been able to use at full capacity. The good news is that Bixby is about to become more useful, as we have reports that the Bixby will gain its complete voice in late June.
When Samsung first showed us Bixby, we were happy because it is promising, as the new virtual assistant is set to take on the likes of Google Assistant and Siri on the S8.
When the S8 finally hit the market, people were eager to use Bixby in its full capabilities but were disappointed. We reported that the Virtual Assistant would only be available in the spring. The problem people first encountered was that the Assistant couldn’t recognize the voice. It wasn’t really nice that it is currently not working at full capabilities, especially because there is a button dedicated to the Virtual Assistant.
According to The Wall Street Journal, Bixby could not recognize the voice at launch because of its struggle to comprehend English grammar and syntax, something that its competitors have perfected.
Bixby is coming soon
The good news is that it seems Samsung’s team has cracked the code and Bixby update will begin to arrive in the coming weeks.
Samsung needs this Virtual Assistant to be successful after Vision especially failed to impress where Apple, Amazon, and Google are steaming ahead with AI counterparts.
A lot of people are not really happy that Bixby is not working as promised by Samsung, but there will be light at the end of the tunnel very soon. Everybody should be able to use and enjoy the Voice Assistant to its fullest before the end of June.
As we all await the voice assistant to start working perfectly, you can keep your eyes on this space for updates.
