After a leak some days back, the TCL has officially announced the new BlackBerry phone, BlackBerry Motion at the GITEX Technology Week.
This BlackBerry Motion is all-touch smartphone that is designed to empower the most challenging, on-the-go lifestyle. It is a mid-ranged device along the DTEK50 line released by BlackBerry last year.
The BlackBerry Motion has now been confirmed for a release in the Middle East this October, and we are waiting for TCL to confirm whether the handset will also be launched in other parts of the world.
BlackBerry Motion specs include a 5.5-inch full HD display, Snapdragon processor, 4,000mAh battery with QuickCharge 3.0 support and 4GB RAM. The phone is also water proof with IP67 rating.
The BlackBerry Motion in the Middle East will be the first BlackBerry with dual-SIM capabilities; however, the BlackBerry has released one dual SIM variant in India, which has its keyboard equipped with KeyOne.
According to the Global General Manager for BlackBerry Mobile, Alain Lejeune, “The launch of BlackBerry Motion allows us to further diversify our product offering, delivering new experiences while remaining steadfast with the privacy, reliability and productivity that have made BlackBerry so iconic over the years.”
TCL said the BlackBerry Motion will cost SAR 1,699/ AED 1,699 (around $460). Just as we are waiting to hear from TCL whether the BlackBerry Motion will be circulated to the other parts of the world, you can watch this space for any updates.
We are not sure if they will release it for the use of other part of the world, but we believe the cloud will be clear very soon, so don’t lose hope yet if you are a fan of BlackBerry.
